| Description: | The IRS is transitioning from the Filing Information Returns Electronically (FIRE) system to the Information Returns Intake System (IRIS) system for e-Filing. DRS will migrate to the new portal in 2028, however for 2027 DRS’ system output cannot accommodate IRIS’ required Application to Application (A2A) and Extensible Markup Language (XML) format to bulk file large volumes of information returns. |
