Description

This RFP is open to all interested parties.

CAA ICON, serving as Development Manager on the new Calgary Event Centre, is procuring a cultural consultant to develop and curate content for informational plaques and commemorative installations throughout the Calgary Event Centre (Scotia Place).
The selected Cultural Consultant will be responsible for the research, content development, and coordination of historical, cultural and sustainable information across multiple designated locations within the Event Centre project. The format for displaying this information is intended to be interpretive plaques, signage and webpages . Alternate solutions proposed by the successful proponent may be considered by the Owner. The successful proponent will coordinate with the Owner to confirm the desired materiality, any lighting, dynamic features such as links to websites, webpage content, etc. It is assumed that all informational plaques will be of similar size/content and commemorative plaques may be slightly larger to allow for more detailed content.

This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.
