Jail Cell Plumbing Bids

Haines Borough seeks bids for repairing Haines Jail Cells' plumbing.

The successful contractor will provide the following services:
1. Replace all under floor waste piping from the Haines Borough jail / holding cells including floor drains, toilets and lavatories according to the attached diagrams.
2. Replace all existing piping with new ABS piping and galvanized clevis hangers, all thread and hardware every 24”.
3. Add clean-outs to each floor drain.
4. Each floor drain to be directly connected to 4” lateral.
5. New “P” trap on each floor drain.
6. Install remote water shutoff to one cell.
7. Pre-install all piping and hardware possible prior to final connection to minimize downtime. This is a critical facility that cannot be left without plumbing overnight or for any extended period of time.
8. Disposal of demolished materials and all clean-up will be the responsibility of the awarded contractor.
