Description

Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) is pleased to offer Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) industry leaders an opportunity to participate in a Reverse Industry Day event aimed at fostering an open dialogue between logistics, technical, program management and contracts personnel. The objective of this event is to engage with industry in the field of CLS to enhance contract execution and develop alternative solutions that could be potentially incorporated into NAVAIR’s future CLS requirements. This is industry’s opportunity to participate in discussions, present ideas and ask questions.

Each firm will be allotted approximately 90 minutes in total.

Date: 3-4 December 2024

Starting Time: Will be provided in confirmation email

Location: Tech Port Building, 44185 Airport Road, California, MD 20619

Interested CLS industry partners shall contact Government Points of Contact (POCs) Natasha Gompers, Contract Specialist, via email at Natasha.a.gompers.civ@us.navy.mil, and cc: Kathleen Dougherty, Contracting Officer, Kathleen.c.dougherty.civ@us.navy.mil, no later than 5:00PM EST on 15 November 2024.

Due to schedule limitations, approximately eight firms in total will be accepted. To ensure this is a value-added event, the Navy is only interested in hearing from industry partners that have a history and focus on providing CLS to its customers. Up to eight representatives from one single contractor may attend. Current and future potential teams (e.g. prime contractors with their principal subcontractor(s)) are welcome to attend together but must abide by the eight-person limit. Firms will be contacted as soon as possible to let them know whether they are included or not.

The Government will provide industry attendees with specific questions prior to December to address during its presentations. Industry may also provide the Government POCs with questions prior that they would like the Government attendees to address as well. Questions shall not directly relate to any one specific program or current or future source selections. Government attendees will include a cross-section of Government personnel from various programs across NAVAIR and customers supported by NAVAIR. No CSS personnel are permitted to attend.

The following additional guidelines are provided:

  • Presentations shall be kept at an unclassified level.

  • This is not an opportunity for companies to present a marketing or business development presentation to the Government.

  • Presentations should discuss how small businesses can play a role in possible solutions; and

  • A list of potential risks with suggested mitigation strategies should be provided.

  • Costs associated with participating in this event are not reimbursable by the Government.

  • Any comments received from the Government during a company or team’s presentation should not be considered direction or possible weaknesses or strengths for a firm’s future proposal submission.
