WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT AND IMPROVEMENTS IN CANAL AVENUE AND 40TH STREET

Encrypted Bids will be accepted on the Bid Express site until 11 a.m., local time, on Thursday, April 23,
2026, and then publicly opened and read aloud via Microsoft Teams meeting and at the City of Grandville,
3195 Wilson Avenue SW, Grandville, Michigan 49418.
Bids will be on the basis of unit prices as listed on the Bid Form, and may only be submitted using the
e-bidding system.
The approximate quantities of major items of work are as follows:
5,400 Ft
Water Main, 12 inch with sand backfill, MDOT CL II
3,350 Ft
Water Main, 8 inch with sand backfill, MDOT CL II
3,145 Ft
Water Service, Copper, Type K, 1 inch
Manholes, Catch Basins, Valves, Hydrants, Fittings, Restoration, and all appurtenant work.

Only Bidders who have been prequalified by the City of Grandville within the required days in advance of
the bid opening in accordance with the Information for Bidders section will have their bids opened and read.
Plans and Specifications will be available after 1 p.m. on March 26, 2026, at M+B Bid Express
(https://www.bidexpress.com/businesses/34301/home?agency=true) or the office of Moore & Bruggink,
Inc., upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $115.00. An additional non-refundable fee of $25.00 will be
charged if the Contractor requests these Documents be mailed.
This project will be entirely funded by the City of Grandville; no federal or state grants are involved.
All Proposals shall be made in accordance with the Bidding Documents.
A Proposal Guarantee payable to the City of Grandville, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of
the bid, must accompany the Proposal in accordance with the Information for Bidders.
The right is reserved by the City of Grandville to accept any Proposal, reject any or all Proposals, and to
waive informalities in bidding when it is deemed to be in the interest of the City of Grandville.
