Pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 149 Section 44E(4), the Town of Weymouth (Awarding Authority), requests proposals from  for a “complete comprehensive study” of the existing HVAC systems at theWeymouth Police Department located at 140 Winter Street Weymouth, MA 02188 along with specific components of several other Town of Weymouth buildings (locations of buildings to be evaluated will be contained in information packets).

The proposals must respond to the requirements set forth in the Request for Proposals (RFP).

The purpose of this study would be to analyze the current HVAC systems and make recommendations to the Department of Asset Management on the “upgrade and/or replacement of key components of all the existing systems”.Special attention should be paid to the hardware and software control requirements in this project. This study should also include a complete “cost estimate along with a scope of work” for all recommended work to be performed. The price proposal for this study should not exceed $25,000.00 (twenty-five thousand dollars).

Information packets will be available by contacting procurement@weymouth.ma.us after 9:00am on December 11, 2024 or by visiting the Town of Weymouth procurement office located at 111 Middle Street, Weymouth, MA  02189.   Information packages are free of charge. Respondents must provide all contact information.

There will be an informational walk-through at the Weymouth Police Department 140 Winter Street Weymouth, MA 02188, as well as other buildings on Tuesday December 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM.  All candidates are strongly encouraged to attend.

Any questions must be submitted in writing to procurement@weymouth.ma.us by Thursday December 19, 2024 at 4:00pm.

Proposals will be received until 3:30pm on Monday December 30, 2024 at the Department of Asset Management located at 111 Middle Street Weymouth, MA 02189.

There is an expedited timeline for this study due to grant requirements that must be adhered to. The time for delivery of completed study is 30 days from award of contract. The award will be made on/before January 10, 2025 at 4:30pm.

Proposals in response to the RFP shall be signed under the pains and penalties of perjury. Proposals must be received on/before 3:30 pm on Monday December 30, 2024at Town of Weymouth Procurement Office, 111 Middle Street, Weymouth, MA 02189. All responses submitted after this time will not be accepted.
