The existing intersection at East Alpine Avenue and Alvarado Avenue is currently a side-street stop / T-Intersection. Alpine Avenue is a 4-lane road while Alvarado Avenue is a 2-lane road that ends at Alpine Avenue and is controlled by a stop sign. The project will create a 3-way traffic signal at the intersection, including an Americans with Disabilities Act compliant crosswalk and other amenities.
