The Minnesota Department of Human Services’ Anoka-Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC) intends to enter into an agreement with Burlodge to purchase the Burlodge System. The Burlodge System is a unique food temperature holding and re-thermalization combined system. It allows flexibility in mealtimes by not only having the ability to keep cold food cold and hot food hot, but also to heat food using the re-thermalization system to the desired temperature and texture to keep the food safe and tasting fresh for patients. This allows flexibility to serve food when it is requested without compromising food quality and taste.
AMRTC determined the Burlodge System is the only commercially reasonably available commodity product that combines the capabilities of holding temperatures and re-thermalizing food. This is deemed a single source purchase because the Burlodge System is solely distributed and supported by Burlodge and is not available from other third parties.
