Issuing and Conducting Procurement Unit: Granite School District – Maintenance Department
Invitation for Bids (IFB):
The purpose of this IFB is to enter into a contract to provide and install window shades in accordance with the following specifications:
Grand curved curtain 2 panels: 42'x22'9", 25 oz 100% polyester velour
Front curtain 2 panels: 40'x19'5", 25 oz 100% polyester velour
Front valance 1 panel: 78'x6', 15 oz IFR Chevron Repp or Encore material
Legs 8 panels: 8'x20'11", 15 oz IFR Chevron Repp or Encore material
Borders 2 panels: 78'x5', 15 oz IFR Chevron Repp or Encore material
Mid-traveler 2 panels: 71'x20'3", 15 oz IFR Chevron Repp or Encore material
Rear travelers 2 panels: 41'x20'10", 15 oz IFR Chevron Repp or Encore material
Provided estimates are an estimate only. Vendor is responsible for on-site measurement.
The final pattern (if any) and color choices will be made by school principal.
Curtains are to be installed. Prices for installation of new and takedown and disposal of existing drapery and rod (if any) must be shown.
All curtain material is to be flame proofed as per state code.
It is anticipated that this IFB will result in a single award to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor. However, the District reserves the right to award contracts by individual school locations if doing so is deemed to be in the District’s best interest based on cost and/or project timeline.
Mandatory Pre-Bid Walkthrough: Attendance at the scheduled walkthrough is required in order to submit a bid.
Walkthrough Date: July 2, 2025 at 9:00 AM (MT) at Eisenhower Jr. High School (4351 Redwood Rd Taylorsville, UT 84123)
Past Performance: Any contractor who fails to perform in a professional and exemplary manner for GSD, or whose work quality is deemed less than exceptional, will be notified of the issue. They will not be invited to bid on or perform additional work for GSD until they have demonstrated to GSD’s satisfaction that the issue has been fully resolved. Contractors with a history of substandard performance on previous GSD projects will not be awarded a contract under this bid.
STANDARDS OF CONDUCT
Contractor must not have direct, unsupervised contact with students. In addition to ensuring compliance with GSD’s tobacco, drug, and alcohol free workplace requirements, contractor shall be responsible for ensuring that its employees, agents, sub-contractors, and anyone directly or indirectly employed by any of them, are appropriately identified at all times while performing work, and refrain from the following prohibited conduct:
(1) any fraternization or inappropriate interactions of any nature whatsoever with GSD students, employees, and patrons, including talking, touching, staring, or
otherwise contributing to a hostile or offensive environment for GSD’s students, employees, and patrons;
(2) criminal conduct;
(3) possession of drug paraphernalia;
(4) sale, misuse or unauthorized use/possession of prescription drugs;
(5) carrying weapons (except to the extent allowed by law with a valid concealed weapons permit);
(6) the use of profanity or other offensive language;
(7) inappropriate dress (e.g., lewd, offensive, alcohol/tobacco/drug-related t-shirts, hats, or other clothing);
(8) parking anywhere except in expressly designated parking areas (violators may be towed at contractor’s expense); and
(9) accessing areas of GSD’s property that are unnecessary to the performance of the work.
Violation of these conduct standards shall result in immediate removal of the offending individual from all work on any of GSD’s properties. Repeated minor violations resulting in removal of contractor’s forces, or one serious infraction (as determined within the discretion of GSD) shall constitute a substantial breach of contract and constitute grounds for termination.
