Evaluation of Bids
The City will review all submitted bids and other relevant information (cost, best value for
the municipality, subjective considerations) regarding the products which the City wishes
to purchase. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any response for any or no
reason and to waive any minor irregularity if determined to be in the best interest of the
City of Greenville. Individuals or companies submitting paperwork as part of the bid
selection process understand, by their submission, the above evaluation process.
Furthermore, the city reserves the right to reduce the number of purchasable items on the
bid specification list, after the bid opening, in order to decrease the final cost if needed to
meet specific financial needs for the project.
Selection of Bids
Once the appropriate bid is selected, it will be presented to the Greenville City Council for
approval. Upon vendor and bid approval, the selected vendor will receive a "Notice of
Award" and the opportunity to review the plan of execution for the project with City
officials.
The "Total Bid Amount" project cost will be valid through June 30, 2027, after the bid is
awarded to a prospective vendor.
Scope of Work
The City of Greenville will accept bids for all equipment involved with the law enforcement
ballistic vest project, including carriers and ancillary equipment noted on the specification
page.
This agency can provide additional information regarding the equipment listed in the
specification section upon request.
Currently, this agency is proposing to possibly purchase between five and seven ballistic
vests for the next fiscal year; therefore, the selected distributor will be requested to fill
such orders. The number of vests and equipment may increase, dependent on hiring of
