NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE
The Network Contracting Office (NCO 9), Department of Veterans Affairs intends to sole source a contract for the supply and service of The Micro Gas Chromatograph (GC) Fusion with Installation and Maintenance.
This procurement for the following medical center:

The objective of this sole source award is for a firm fixed price with Inficon Inc.
This sole source determination is in accordance with FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition, procedures and in accordance with 41 U.S.C.1708 as implemented by FAR 5.201(b) and FAR 5.202(a)(13), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. Inficon is the manufacturer of The Micro Gas Chromatograph (GC) Fusion and the only authorized supplier.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing and the size standard is 1,000 Employees.
No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Interested vendors that can meet this requirement, should identify their interest and capability, and respond to this notice by the response date/ time/zone, via email to the Point of Contact. Interested vendors must send a tailored capability statement, no more than one page in length; to include Company Name, UEI Number, Socioeconomic Category, and brief and concise description of your business entities capability to provide these items. The description should include the following:
In addition, interested vendors must also include if they are the manufacturer of the product or they must identify their source of supply and provide an authorized distributor/reseller letter. If offering other than the brand describe, then supporting documents (e.g. spec sheet, user manual, brochure, etc.) to show equal or better. Interested vendors must also answer these questions:
All information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government. Only emailed responses will be accepted.
Simply responding as an “interested party” does not constitute your company as a source.
A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
