People’s Cemetery Grave Restorations

The Town of Chatham is seeking a qualified contractor for the maintenance, cleaning and historic preservation of designated gravestones within People’s Cemetery, 200 Stepping Stones Road.

The bid documents may be obtained at the Chatham Town Offices, 549 Main Street, Chatham, MA  02633, Monday through Friday, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or by email request to For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address. .

Bidders are encouraged to visit the site independently. A non-mandatory site walk-through will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, 13, 2026 at People’s Cemetery.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and must be labeled on the outside as:  People’s Cemetery Grave Restorations,” and must list the date and time of the proposal opening and be sent or delivered to: Town of Chatham, Attn:  Jill R. Goldsmith, Town Manager, 549 Main Street, Chatham, MA  02633 no later than Monday, July 20, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

The Town of Chatham reserves the right to reject any and all proposals if it is deemed in the best interest of the Town and to waive any informalities in the proposal process.
