Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Request for Proposals Fire-Resistive Material Inspection, Testing, Repair, and Replacement Services East Chapel Hill High School

Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS) is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors experienced in the inspection, testing, repair, and replacement of sprayed fire-resistive materials (SFRM) and similar fire-retardant coatings applied to structural roof and ceiling assemblies.

The purpose of this project is to evaluate and address adhesion failure of existing fire-resistive material applied to the underside of the roof structure within an approximately 24,500-square-foot building. Areas of the material have detached and fallen from the roof deck, and CHCCS seeks professional evaluation and remediation services.
