Scope of Work
The State University of New York at Old Westbury is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide an AI-powered platform that enhances student recruitment, engagement, and success. The platform should offer automated, multilingual, and adaptive interaction capabilities to support prospective and current students 24/7 across multiple communication channels.
The ideal solution will extend beyond recruitment, offering a seamless continuum of support throughout the student lifecycle.

AI Recruitment Automation

Act as an autonomous digital recruiter capable of managing individualized inbound and outbound engagement with applicants & prospective applicants across text, phone, email, and web chat.

Be specifically designed for higher education recruitment and trained on SUNY Old Westbury’s specific application processes, curriculum, extracurriculars, and value propositions.

Adapt messaging content and mode of contact dynamically based on student interactions and behavior (not based on rigid scripts).

Operate 24/7 in at least 20 languages (including English) to ensure accessibility and responsiveness.

Provide support for both leads supplied by SUNY Old Westbury and those generated through the vendor’s proprietary network.

Operational and Administrative Support - Executes student tasks like form submissions or appointment scheduling across departments.

Analytics and Reporting - Includes actionable insights on engagement, campaign effectiveness, and student service responsiveness.
Vendor Qualifications

Experience with higher education institutions implementing AI communication or recruitment platforms.

Ability to customize AI learning models to institutional goals.

Network of high school students where SUNY Old Westbury can make meaningful connections and engage with students who are interested in the institution
