MQ-9A Electronic Warfare (EW) Production

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a hybrid of Cost Plus Fixed Fee and Firm Fixed Price definitization to order N0001924F5559 under Basic Ordering Agreement N0001922G0006 to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), Poway, CA, for the procurement of Electronic Warfare (EW) Pods, EW Aircraft (A-Kits), Ground Control System (GCS) Kits, Optix Kits, Maintenance Laptops, Maintenance Toolkits, Spares, Systems Engineering, Logistics and Training Support, and the installation of the Pods and Kits. This modification was awarded to GA-ASI in the amount of $119,928,318.

This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, “Only one responsible source and no other supplier or services will satisfy agency requirements.” A determination by the Government not to compete this effort was solely within the discretion of the Government. This effort is covered under the Class Justification and Approval (CJ&A) number 23-0100 – redacted version attached to this announcement.
