SUMMIT COUNTY GOVERNMENT, OPEN SPACE AND TRAILS DEPARTMENT
INVITATION TO BID
STRAIGHT CREEK PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE

Summit County Government ("County") is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide services for
the following: Construction of a pedestrian bridge and creek crossing located near the Town of Dillon in
Summit County Colorado. The Project includes the following general items of work:
* Construction of a 36-foot long, 4-foot-wide wooden pedestrian bridge crossing Straight Creek,
near Dillon, CO. The project is located at 1414 Straight Creek Drive, in unincorporated Summit
County.
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received electronically with the following text in the
subject line: "'Bid - Straight Creek Pedestrian Bridge" and must be emailed to
daniel.gietzen@summitcountyco.gov until Thursday August 13, 2026, at 2.00 PM local time. Bids
will be publicly opened and read aloud at this time.
The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder who best meets the requirements of the
project specifications, Summit County and the public interest.
All bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond guarantee in the amount of five percent (5%) of the
base proposal bid.

Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. The designated website will be
updated periodically with addenda, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the
Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the
designated website. Owner will not be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any,
obtained from sources other than the designated website.
A pre-bid site meeting and site visit will be held on Tuesday July 28, 2026, at 11:00 A.M.
MST/MDT. The meeting will be held onsite at 1414 Straight Creek Drive, Straight Creek Drive, Dillon,
CO 80435. Park in or next to the Dillon Valley Metropolitan District building parking lot.
The Summit County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive
irregularities or informalities, and to conduct such investigations or negotiations as it deems necessary to
select the most responsible and responsive bid.
