The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) issued the following synopsis for procurement of spare engines, engine components, and technical support. This is a follow-up announcement to the Sources Sought N00019-24-RFPREQ-APM274-0030 previously posted on SAM.gov on 20 March 2024. The Sources Sought announcement is no closed.
NAVAIR negotiated and awarded a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to General Electric Company (GE), GE Aviation on an, other than full and open competition basis. This agreement is for the procurement of spare engines, engine components, and technical support. GE is the only known source with the knowledge, experience, expertise, and the necessary proprietary technical data required to perform this effort. A sole source acquisition will be procured under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements."
