Wheeled Loader Requirement
Synopsis:
The Resort Village of Candle Lake (RVCL) is requesting quotations for the supply of a new wheeled loader to support municipal operations. This unit will complement our existing 2009 John Deere 524K, which will remain in service. The new loader must be of similar size and capability, with a bucket capacity of approximately 2.75 cubic yards, and equipped for a wide range of tasks including road maintenance, snow removal, landfill debris handling, and hauling aggregate or soils.
The loader must be well-suited for use in residential areas with narrow streets and cul-de-sacs—tight turning radius is essential. Annual use is estimated at approximately 500 hours. The unit must be equipped with snow tires (Michelin Sno-Plus or equivalent) and include a quick coupler compatible with John Deere attachments or a reasonably priced alternative.
Suppliers are asked to provide complete specifications, warranty and extended warranty options, service support information, and pricing. Quotations must be submitted by 5:00 PM on Monday, August 11, 2025, via email to publicworks@candlelake.ca clearly labeled with the subject line "New Loader".
Quotations will be evaluated on overall value, suitability for RVCL operations, support, and total cost of ownership. The lowest or any specific quote may not necessarily be accepted.

Additional Information:
The loader will be used year-round for various tasks including snow removal, landfill operations (pushing and hauling debris), and the hauling of soil and aggregate for infrastructure maintenance. Due to the diversity of operations, reliability, serviceability, and local parts availability are key factors in the selection process.
