Description

The Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA) intends to solicit and award a Purchase Order to Point Security, Inc, PO Box 100, Linwood, NC 27299, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.



The EOUSA anticipates award of a contract, on a sole source basis, to Point Security to provide brand name Smiths Detection HI-SCAN 6040 DV X-Ray inspection system and roller table options: HEI-.5M-6040i and HEI-1M-6040i for use in a USAO facility, located in Columbia, SC. The HI-SCAN6040C shall have the standard features: Hi-SPOT – Auto Dense Area Detection, HiTraX 3- Image Enhancement Functions and a 24” Flat Panel Monitor. The HI-SCAN6040i shall also include the following Options: Software Package – HI-TIP-Plus, OTS Xtrain, IMS, Opti-ZOOM, HDA, X-Plore, SEN. Upon delivery of the unit, vendor shall uncrate, inspect for damage, move to the screening location, dispose all packing material, and remove and dispose of the existing Gemini Parcel X-ray Inspection System (serial#: G6040-4147. Installation of the new unit shall be in its final position for operation and all accessories attached. The vendor shall conduct standard calibration and certification of the unit and provide a copy of the paperwork to the EOUSA POC and provide training on the proper operation and usage to JPSO Security Officers assigned at time of delivery and additional EOUSA representatives as may be available. The anticipated delivery date is on or before September 30, 2026.



This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. A Request for Quote will not be available for this requirement. The intent of this solicitation is for informational purposes only. However, any information received within five days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Information in response to this notice may be sent to Bryant Gilbertson, Contracting Officer, at bryant.gilbertson@usdoj.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Telephonic questions or requests are strongly discouraged.
