The City requires a qualified consulting firm to provide planning, design, and construction administration services for the redevelopment of the Whitehorn Station Area.
This project focuses on the existing park and ride facility located west of Whitehorn Station, approximately 7.5 km from downtown Calgary. The site has operated since 1985 and includes a light rail transit (LRT) station, a bus transfer loop, and park and ride facilities on the west side of 36 Street NE.
The desired outcome is to prepare the site for redevelopment while maintaining Calgary Transit operations and delivering high-quality, functional streetscapes and public spaces that enhance quality of life for current and future residents.
This project anticipates the following Phases:
• Phase 1 – Planning Approvals and Site Concept
• Phase 2 – Design Development (30% and 60%)
• Phase 3 – Detailed Design
• Phase 4 – Construction Administration Services
