Project Description: The Albuquerque International Sunport (“Sunport”) is the principal commercial service airport serving the City of Albuquerque (“City”) and the State of New Mexico. Owned by the City and operated by the Aviation Department (“Department”), the Sunport is located five (5) miles southeast of downtown Albuquerque. The passenger facilities of the Sunport include a terminal complex with more than six hundred thousand (600,000) square feet of interior space, and twenty-five (25) gates. Concourse A has thirteen (13) gates, Concourse B has nine (9) gates, and there are two (2) additional commuter gates located on the 2nd floor of the terminal, and one (1) additional gate used exclusively for arriving international flights that is connected to the U.S. Customs facility. The air carrier gates are situated in a linear east-west concourse alignment, parallel to the terminal complex and connected to it via a terminal-concourse connector. The surrounding terminal area includes a two-level terminal loop roadway system, a three thousand four hundred (3,390)-space parking garage, a four hundred fifty (450)-space premium economy parking lot, and a three hundred fifty-seven (568)-space basic economy parking lot. Also accessible via the terminal loop roadway is a cellphone waiting area (lot) with 76 spaces.
