SGI Be Alert Video Production Competition

On behalf of the Government of Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI), SGI is seeking an experienced video production firm to provide services for 1x30-second video. This spot will be used to raise public awareness to help reduce injuries, fatalities, and property damage resulting from intersection collisions in Saskatchewan.

SGI’s award-winning campaigns have been recognized nationally for their ability to capture attention with emotive, relatable, and memorable stories. SGI wants to build on past success in capturing attention and visibility. The new Be Alert campaign will align SGI’s Trusted Friend brand by helping drivers feel valued, confident and supported, so they’re more likely to choose safer behaviours at intersections every day.

Interested firms must demonstrate professional experience in:

• Creating an emotional and uplifting spot to affect behaviour change. Please provide direct examples of this that were completed within the last three years specifically related to the Director you are proposing for this project.
• Producing and managing all production details and requirements for complex shoots.
• Being agile and scalable to meet tight timelines.
• Production and direction of all forms of video with a budget of over $75,000 in the last three years.
• Working with Crown or other government clients.

Companies interested in pursuing this account should submit a brief letter of intent (not exceeding two pages). The letter should specifically articulate why your experience and capabilities relating to the criteria above make your firm the best choice for this account. Please include two client references who can speak to your ability in the criteria above. Also, bidding firms must identify any intent to use subcontractors and include a description of the scope of services. From the responses, a shortlist of firms will be developed. These firms will be asked to prepare a proposal and may be asked to demonstrate their capability in an in-person presentation to a selection panel.

Please submit any relevant work samples that demonstrate your experience and capabilities.

Bidding firms must immediately disclose to Communications Services, Executive Council, any actual or potential conflict of interest which currently exists, or which may arise during the period of the competition. Bidding suppliers who are not registered with Communications Services must begin the registration process prior to submitting a letter of intent.
