Ocean Center Wireless Network Upgrade

The County of Volusia Ocean Center is a single facility that includes but is not limited to meetings rooms, ballrooms, arena, exhibit hall , and the 1 st floor of the Ocean Center Parking Garage . It currently uses a building wide Xirrus system employing approximately forty (40) Access Points that allow for user roaming from space to space across the entire footprint of the facility.

On-site staff can customize client-defined SSID and passwords to meet event requirements for secure or publicly available wireless connectivity.

At any one time, there may be multiple shows or other activities being hosted in various spaces throughout the facility. Any single show may have activities across some or all of the rooms.

The Ocean Center currently has two (2) primary Internet Service Provider (ISP) circuits. Both are business-class circuits, one a 1,000 x 1,000 Mbps fiber service circuit and the other 200 x 200 Mbps copper circuit.
