The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, except that Hancock County retains the right to reject all bids when it is in the best interest of the County.

Specifications for Demolition
The work consists of the demolition, removal, backfilling, and disposal of
the house & debris
located at 2463 W. 200 S. Greenfield, IN 46140. Parcel ID: 30-10-15-100-003.001-012

Per 326 IAC 14-10-3, Demolition shall not start until IDEM approval is received for asbestos notification.

Demolition shall begin within seven (7) days of IDEM approval and must be completed within ten (10) days.

Prior to starting demolition, all existing utilities shall be terminated in a safe manner.

Contractor is responsible for contacting utilities for disconnect.

The house
shall be demolished & removed including footings & foundation walls. All accumulated debris in the house & on the premises shall be removed & disposed of.

Removed materials shall be disposed of in accordance with all applicable current local, State and Federal regulations.

Any septic tank on the property must be crushed and backfilled with sand.

Depressions left in the ground by demolition shall be backfilled and compacted.

When complete the job site shall have smooth final grade free of all debris with grass seed & straw.

The removal of the buildings and debris shall be accomplished so that all highways, local roads, streets and alleys within the project limits shall always remain open to normal traffic unless otherwise directed.

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, safety equipment, transportation, and supplies required to complete the work in accordance with the specifications, and terms of the contract.

Contractor is liable for any damage to surrounding properties. Surrounding properties are to be restored to the condition they were in when the project began.

The existing trees shall be undisturbed unless removal is necessary for demolition. Any trees that need to be removed must be approved by the Building Official.

Change orders must be approved by the Building Official.

The work site shall be a drug & alcohol-free environment.
