Bird Dog Recreational Facility Complex
THE CITY OF WAYNESBORO-BURKE COUNTY, GEORGIA
Sealed bids will be accepted by the City of Waynesboro at the office of the City Manager, 615 N. Liberty Street, Waynesboro, Georgia 30830 until 10:00AM on December 11th 2025_, for the Bird Dog Recreational Facility Complex, according to plans and specifications. All bids will be opened in public and read aloud following the specified closing time during a special called council meeting.
The project will consist of the redesigned complex which includes construction of two new buildings along with related site improvements. The existing 4.5acres site is mostly undeveloped with two dilapidated structures to be demolished by City Forces. The first new building will be an approximately 1,600 square foot multipurpose facility featuring, office space, restrooms, and a community room for indoor learning and activities. The second building will be an approximately 7,700 square foot gymnasium with a multipurpose court including basketball (full court and four half courts), volleyball, and pickleball. Exterior improvements will include parking areas, stormwater detention and treatment facilities, utilities, site clearing and grading.
A Non-MANDATORY pre-bid conference to respond to any questions related to the details of this project will be held at __10:00AM on December 1st 2025_, at City of Waynesboro City Hall , 615 N. Liberty Street, Waynesboro, Georgia 30830. Potential bidders are not required to attend.

. Bid documents will be forwarded upon payment of $200.00 fee as soon as possible.
The estimated range of this project is between $1,950,000_to $2,100,000_for labor and miscellaneous materials.
BONDING REQUIREMENTS: An original Bid Bond for 5 percent of the total bid must be submitted with the bid. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price will be required if contract is awarded.
Plans/Specifications/Contract Documents will be on file FOR INSPECTION ONLY at the following locations on or after November 11th 2025.

The Bidder shall affix, to the outside of its bid envelope, its Georgia General Contractor License Number.

The City of Waynesboro reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities or irregularities, and to award the bid based on the highest and best interest of the City of Waynesboro .
The Owner will in no way be liable for any costs incurred by any bidder or potential bidder in the preparation of its bid in response to this Invitation to Bid.
