Description

This service is required to provide highly purified water to support plant maintenance on nuclear‑powered ships at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) in Portsmouth, VA, and Naval Station Norfolk (NSN) in Norfolk, VA. The Government intends to establish a Base Year contract beginning April 6, 2026, with four (4) Option Year periods for continued provision of demineralizer rigs in accordance with the requirements.



The projected number of mobile demineralizer rigs needed at any given time is four (4) rigs for NNSY and six (6) rigs for NSN. The estimated maximum total volume of water to be processed daily across both locations is 16,500 gallons (8,250 gallons per location). The estimated maximum annual volume is 6,022,500 gallons (3,011,250 gallons per location), or 6,039,000 gallons in leap years (3,019,500 gallons per location).
