Project Description: Sealed bids for the CALN MEETINGHOUSE ROAD SEWER EXTENSION (Contract CAL-01-25) will be received by the Caln Township Municipal Authority electronically via PennBid™ until 10:00 A.M. local time, Thursday, March 13, 2025, at which time all bids will be opened online.
The construction project will involve the installation of approximately 1300 linear feet of 8” diameter PVC for a gravity sanitary sewer main, new concrete manholes, manhole modifications, and installation of sewer lateral pipes at a site along Caln Meetinghouse Road and Granger Lane in Caln Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Completion of the work will also include traffic control, pavement and unpaved ground restoration, and testing of the completed sewer system.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for the period of days stated in the bid form from the date the bids are opened. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount and a Maintenance Bond in the amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount, thereafter required on the specified Bond Forms included in the Contract Documents and Waiver of Lien.
The right is reserved to waive any informality in the Bid, to reject any or all Bids, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to the Owner, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated.
The work in this contract shall be paid for in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act No. 442)
