Overview
Summary

Collier County is soliciting bids for the demolition and site restoration of a County-owned property located at 11103 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34113 (Parcel ID: 62040240004). The project site is approximately 0.53 acres and contains two buildings totaling 4,800 square feet, along with associated driveways and landscaping.

Work under this project shall include:

  1. Complete demolition and removal of all existing structures, driveways, and landscape features.
  2. Disconnection and capping of all utilities at the property line. No utilities are active on the site at this time.
  3. Removal of all debris and unsuitable materials.
  4. Placement of compacted fill meeting the requirements specified in Section 4 – Acceptance Criteria.
  5. Final site grading to ensure positive drainage and a clean, level finish.

Contractor requirements are clearly outlined in the bid scope document provided including but not limited to:

    1. The Contractor shall obtain and pay for all required licenses and permits and all required inspections and shall comply with all State and Local laws, codes and ordinances regarding demolition and site work.
    2. County shall provide the Contractor a free Procore-access account to perform a Daily Log of work completed, to submit Requests for Information (RFI), and to provide live in-field photographs of work being performed using the photographs tool and Daily Log.

The completed project shall deliver a fully cleared and restored site suitable for future development.

Acceptance criteria for the fill is provided in the attached scope document and below:

  1. Compact Fill. If compact fill is required to grade the property for proper positive water flow to the roadway and to avoid flooding neighbors’ yards. The following compact fill specifications apply.
    1. Compact fill material must be in 12-inch lifts and compacted to 90% of modified proctor.
    2. Satisfactory Soils: Soil Classification Groups GW, GP, GM, SW, SP, SP-SM and SM according to ASTM D 2487, or a combination of these groups; free of rock or gravel larger than two inches in any dimension, debris, waste, vegetation, and other deleterious matter. Liquid Limit is non-plastic.
    3. Unsatisfactory Soils: Soil Classification Groups GC, SC, CL, ML, OL, CH, MH, OH, and PT according to ASTM D 2487 and Groups A-2-5, A-2-6, A-2-7, A-4, A-5, A-6, and A-7 according to AASHTO M 145, or a combination of these groups

Contract is responsible for field verifying the site prior to bidding and ensure all work within the scope is provided for in his/her bid.
