PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
The Stark County Commissioners intend to contract for Professional Engineering Services related to
Electrical Design Services for the Stark County Office Building located at 110 Central Plaza South,
Canton, Ohio 44702. Engineering Firms interested in being considered for a contract to provide
electrical distribution system office building upgrades as a multiple phased project should reply with a
statement of qualifications no later than 3:00pm on May 29, 2026. Statements received after the
deadline will not be considered.
Statements of qualification should include information regarding the firm's history, education and
experience of the owners and key technical personnel who will be assigned to the project, the technical
expertise of the firm's current staff, the firm's experience in designing an office building distribution
equipment upgrades (note - the original building construction was constructed in 1966) that will meet
current building codes, the firm's equipment and facilities, the firm's proximity to the project location,
and any previous work performed for any agency of Stark County Government.
Statement of qualifications should be transmitted to the Stark County Commissioners, 110 Central
Plaza South, Suite 240, Canton, Ohio 44702, Attention Jennifer Odey. As required by the Ohio
Revised Code, Section 153.66 et seq., responding firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their
qualifications. Following this evaluation, the Stark County Commissioners will enter contract
negotiations with the most highly ranked firm, based on the above criteria for this project.
