Suicide Awareness & Violence Prevention Training

The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE), Office of Whole Child Supports (OWCS), is issuing this Request for Qualified Contractors (RFQC) to establish a pool of qualified suppliers to provide evidence-based suicide awareness and/or violence prevention training programs for students in grades 6-12. This solicitation is intended to establish a pool of qualified contractors from which Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) may enter into agreements solely with suppliers that are qualified and awarded by the Georgia Department of Education to provide these services. No contractual agreements or payments will be executed by the Georgia Department of Education as part of this solicitation. Suppliers may choose to respond to either the suicide awareness training program, the violence prevention training program, or both.

This RFQC is issued pursuant to Official Code of Georgia Annotated (O.C.G.A.) § 20-2-779.1, which prioritizes suicide awareness and violence prevention training for students and requires annual training for certificated public-school personnel.
