INVITATION FOR NEW BID (IFB) ANNOUNCEMENT

IFB #: 26-07
IFB Description: This IFB is issued with the intent of entering into a Contract for procurement and delivery of
fresh produce products for federally-funded Child Nutrition programs operating in California. The contract
awarded as a result of this IFB shall be for a period of one (1) year, with two (2) one-year extensions at the
discretion of the district, starting July 1, 2026.
District Profile: The San Lorenzo Unified School District (“School District”) serves 9 elementary schools, 3 middle
schools, 3 high schools, afterschool programs, and several charter schools in the East Bay Area.
On average, the School District spends approximately $150,000 on fresh produce products each school year.
A School District Calendar will be provided to the awarded vendor(s).

SUBMISSION PROCESS
Submission Deadline: All bids must be submitted on paper and delivered, as stated below, no later than:
May 18, 2026, 12:00 PM PDT
Submission delivery compliance is measured by the automatic date/stamp machine located in the School
District Child Nutrition Department.
Submission Requirements:
1. Review and complete two (2) copies of the IFB and all attachments in blue ink, with original signatures.
2. Seal the copies in a single envelope and label as follows: “Fresh Bread Bid, IFB #26-07”
3. Deliver to the following address by the submission deadline as stated above:

Submission Questions: Email questions to Peter Oshinski, Child Nutrition Director, at poshinski@slzusd.org. The
last day to email questions is May 13, 2026.
Award Notification: Subject to the conditions, provisions and the specifications associated with this IFB, sealed
Bids will be received at the above location. Bids received after this date and time will not be accepted. Final bid
awards are announced by School District AFTER the following actions:
1. Bid tabulations are verified by the School District.
2. The School District shall not be obligated to accept the lowest priced proposal, but will make an award in
the best interests of the School District after all factors have been evaluated.
3. Final bid award is to be determined by the San Lorenzo Unified School District Board and upon the
issuance of a Purchase Order.
Bids will be opened in public on Tuesday May 19, 2026 beginning at 8:30am at San Lorenzo Unified School
District Child Nutrition Conference Room. Bid results will be posted on the School District website.
