Subject: Request for Information (RFI) – Municipal Equipment Supply, Specifications & Pricing Benchmarking (RFI No. 2026-1_Wheel Loader)**
Dear Equipment Suppliers and Industry Partners,
The Town of Lamont is pleased to invite qualified equipment manufacturers, dealers, and suppliers to participate in our Request for Information (RFI) regarding municipal heavy equipment, equipment specifications, and pricing.
The purpose of this RFI is to gather current market information to support the Town's future fleet replacement planning and procurement strategies. Specifically, we are seeking information on standardized OEM equipment configurations, available options, pricing structures, warranty coverage, delivery timelines, and after-sales service capabilities.
At this time, the Town is particularly interested in obtaining information related to wheel loaders; however, suppliers are also encouraged to provide information on other municipal equipment, including backhoes, excavators, graders, dump trucks, skid steers, attachments, and related service programs.
This RFI is issued solely for information-gathering and planning purposes. It is **not** a request for tender, proposal, or quotation, and no contract will be awarded as a result of this process. Information received will assist the Town in developing future procurement documents and ensuring fair and competitive specifications.
We encourage vendors to submit complete or partial responses, including:
* Company information and contact details;
* OEM specification sheets and brochures;
* Equipment configurations that meet or exceed the example specifications provided;
* Pricing information, including municipal pricing where available;
* Delivery timelines;
* Warranty and maintenance support information; and
* Leasing or financing options, if applicable.
Responses must be submitted through the Alberta Purchasing Connection (APC) portal no later than **July 10, 2026**.
The Town of Lamont appreciates your time and participation in this information-gathering initiative. Your input will help us better understand current industry offerings and support effective planning for future municipal equipment procurements.
Should you have any questions regarding this RFI, please contact:
