Description
The National Research Council Canada (NRC), Automotive and Surface Transportation (AST) research center, Advanced Manufacturing Research facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba is looking to purchase a Nine (9) layer, Five (5) Extruder Cast Film/Sheet Line with Extrusion Lamination/Coating functionality for Packaging Applications with adaptability for compounding and pelletization with a twin-screw extruder.
NRC wants to diversify their activities to meet the needs of the Canadian industry in the development and implementation of this process, in accordance with industry standard 4.0. Including being able to produce PE/tie/EVOH/Tie/PE type structures as it evolves as into an industry standard in the coming years. Also be able to extrude different materials including: polyolefins, polyamides, EVOH, tie resins, and biopolymers such as PHA, PBAT, PLA, TPS, and PBS.
The scope of work includes the design, supply, transportation, delivery, installation, and commissioning of the system and all accessories as well as training in the use of the equipment.
The estimated contract period will be 17 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/09/30.
