Invitation for Bids
The Town of Truro is seeking sealed bids for the supply and delivery of a closed top ejector
trailer.
Bid specifications may be obtained from the Town of Truro website at https://www.truro-ma.gov
under bids and proposals, and by contacting jcabral@Truro-ma.gov.
Bids will be received at the Truro Town Hall first floor Administration Offices, 24 Town Hall
Rd., P.O. Box 2030, Truro, MA 02666, on or before Thursday Aug 13, 2026 at 1:00pm
Sealed envelopes containing bids shall be clearly marked "Truro Trailer"
NOTE: One original and two (2) copies of each bid shall be submitted. NO faxed
proposals will be accepted.
The Town of Truro reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informality
contained therein, and to award the contract as decided to be in the best interest of the Town.
All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter
30B as amended.
The Town of Truro fully complies with federal, state, and local laws and directives governing

Invitation for Bids for
The Supply, and Delivery of a Conventional Closed Top Ejector Trailer
The Town of Truro is seeking sealed bids for the supply, and delivery of a closed top ejector
trailer.
I. General Information and Bid Submission Requirements
Bid Delivery
All bids must be delivered to:

Bids must be delivered on or before Thursday August 13, 2026 at 1:00pm
One original and two copies of the bid should be submitted. Bids must be sealed and marked as
follows: "Truro Trailer".
All bids must include a non-collusion form, tax compliance certificate, bid pricing sheet, and
reference form as provided in this IFB.
It is the responsibility of every bidder who receives this bid electronically, to check for any addenda
or modification to this solicitation, if they intend to respond. The Town of Truro accepts no liability
to provide accommodation to bidders who submit a response based upon an out-of-date solicitation
document.
Bid Signature
A bid must be signed as follows: 1) if the bidder is an individual, by her/him personally; 2) if the
bidder is a partnership, by the name of the partnership, followed by the signature of each general
partner; and 3) if the bidder is a corporation, by the authorized officer, whose signature must be
attested to by the clerk/secretary of the corporation, and with the corporate seal affixed.
Time for Bid Acceptance
The contract award is contingent on funding approval at the May 2026 annual Town Meeting. The
contract award goes to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The compensation provided
is subject to the availability and appropriation of funds on July 1 2026.
Changes and Addenda
If any changes are made to this IFB, an addendum will be issued. Addenda will be e - mailed to
all bidders on record as having picked up the IFB.

Questions about the IFB
Questions concerning this invitation for bids must be submitted in writing no later than Tuesday
July 28, 2026 at 3:00pm. Questions may be emailed to jcabral@truro-ma.gov. Written responses
will be e-mailed to all bidders on record as having picked up the IFB. Responses will be posted
on the Town Website at https://truro-ma.gov under bids and proposals on Aug 4th , 2026.
Modification or Withdrawal of Bids, Mistakes, and Minor Informalities
A bidder may correct, modify, or withdraw a bid by written notice received by the Town prior to
the time and date set for the bid opening. Bid modifications must be submitted in a sealed envelope
clearly labeled "Modification No. " to the address listed in part one of this section. Each
modification must be numbered in sequence and must reference the original IFB.
After the bid opening, a bidder may not change any provision of the bid in a manner prejudicial to
the interests of the Town or fair competition. Minor informalities will be waived or the bidder will
be allowed to correct them. If a mistake and the intended bid are clearly evident on the face of the
bid document, the mistake will be corrected to reflect the intended correct bid, and the bidder will
be notified in writing; the bidder may not withdraw the bid. A bidder may withdraw a bid if a
mistake is clearly evident on the face of the bid document, but the intended correct bid is not
similarly evident.
Bidders may not alter (manually or electronically) the bid language or any bid documents.
Unauthorized modifications to the body of the bid, specifications, terms or conditions, or which
change the intent of this bid are prohibited and may disqualify a response.
Right to Cancel/Reject Bids
The town of Truro reserves the right to cancel this IFB or reject in whole or in part any and all
bids, if it is determined that cancellation or rejection serves the best interest of the town of Truro.
All awards are subject to funding at Town Meeting approval May, 2026.
Bid Prices to Remain Firm
All bid prices submitted in response to this IFB must remain firm until Sep 4th, 2026 following
the bid opening.
Prevailing Wages:
Awarded bidder must comply with the Prevailing Wage Rates for the appropriate classification
of work in accordance with the State of Massachusetts.
Unforeseen Office Closure
If, at the time of the scheduled bid opening, the Town of Truro town offices are closed due to
uncontrolled events such as fire, snow, ice, wind, or building evacuation, the bid opening will be
postponed until 2:00 p.m. on the next normal business day. Bids will be accepted until that date
and time.
