Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Contract Nos. 2024-02A & 2024-02B

Project Description: Sealed bids will be received by the Greater Greensburg Sewage Authority, Westmoreland County, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for the following:
GENERAL/MECHANICAL CONTRACT NO. 2024-02A ELECTRICAL CONTRACT NO. 2024-02B WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT IMPROVEMENTS
BID OPENING – Sealed bids shall be submitted online via the PennBid Program until 10:00 AM local time Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at which time all bids will become publicly available.
Equipment and Services to be provided shall be according to the specifications which are on file at the office of KLH Engineers, Inc., 5173 Campbells Run Road, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15205, and at the office of the Greater Greensburg Sewage Authority, 210 W Otterman Street, Greensburg, Pennsylvania 15601.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the Greater Greensburg Sewage Authority Wastewater Treatment Plant, 806 US-119, Greensburg, Pennsylvania 15601. Representatives of OWNER and ENGINEER will be present to discuss the Project. Bidders are required to attend and participate in the Conference. ENGINEER will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda, as ENGINEER considers necessary in response to questions arising at the Conference. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective.

No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of the opening of the bids.
Contractor shall submit an E-Verify Program Verification in compliance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act 127 of 2012.
BIDDER'S SURETY A certified check payable to the Greater Greensburg Sewage Authority or a bid bond on the bid form executed by the Bidder and a surety company approved by the OWNER, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of bid, must be submitted with each bid or bids will be considered nonresponsive and immediately rejected.
SUCCESSFUL BIDDING BIDDER awarded this contract shall provide a performance surety in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount.

Work under Contract 2024-02A & 2024-02B covers the furnishing of all labor, material, plant, utilities, and services required for the construction of new headworks facilities and blower replacement at the Greater Greensburg Sewage Authority (GGSA) wastewater treatment plant. The project is located along U.S. 119 in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Work under Contract 2024-02A & 2024-02B generally consists of the construction of a new headworks facility, the replacing of existing grit removal equipment with a modern vortex system, upsizing of the existing raw sewage pump impellers and motors, installation of new mechanical bar screens, and installation of modified motor control center to facilitate the installation of new Owner supplied blower equipment and instrumentation.
