Description:

The Town of Hartford, VT is requesting bids for Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5% minimum, Sternpak 70, and Polymer 8837 delivered to our water and wastewater facilities.

SCOPE OF WORK

The contract will include the delivery of 990 gallons of Chlorine per order, to our Water Treatment Facility in Wilder, 4,000 gallons of bulk Stern Pak 70 per order, to Quechee Wastewater Facility, and delivery of 275-gallon totes of Polymer 8837, to our White River Junction Wastewater facility.

The period of service is December 1, 2024, through June 30, 2026.

INSTRUCTIONS

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “2024-26 Chemical Bid” and will be received at the Town of Hartford, Town Managers Office, 171 Bridge Street, White River Junction, Vermont 05001, no later than 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2024.  Bids received after the noted time and date will not be accepted nor will bids that are faxed or emailed.  Please contact Jeremy Delisle, Assistant Public Works Director, at 802- 295-3622, if you have any questions.

REJECTION OF BIDS

The Town of Hartford reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to award contracts in whole or in part if it is deemed in the best interest of the Town.

REVISION TO THE REQUEST FOR BIDS

The Town of Hartford reserves the right to modify any requirements associated with this bid and the scope of work.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
The Town of Hartford assumes no responsibility and no liability for costs incurred by the proposer in responding to the request for bid or in responding to any further request for interview, additional dates, etc. prior issuance of a contract. Purchases subject to annual budgetary appropriation.

BASIS OF AWARD
The contract shall be awarded to a responsible and responsive proposer as determined by the Town and review will include the following considerations:

  • Ability to perform successfully under the terms of the scope of services.
  • Prior experience and past record of performance.
  • Price of product.
  • Any other criteria considered relevant by the Town.

The Town of Hartford, VT is requesting bids for the bulk delivery of approximately 18,000 gallons of Chlorine, 12,000 gallons of Stern pack 70, and 4950 gallons of Polymer 8837 to Water and Wastewater Facilities in the Town of Hartford, VT. The period of service is December 1, 2024, through June 30, 2026.
