Description
Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of satellite tags and associated proprietary geolocation software from Wildlife Computers as a sole source because of the contractor being the only provider able to meet critical parameters or timeframes to support the research and/or business needs of the university. Wildlife Computers is the only vendor that can provide the required satellite tags, and the proprietary fine-scale-light-level geolocation software (GPE3) with demonstrated tag failure rate of less than 20% that is necessary to meet OSU’s research need for a basking shark movement study. An entity may appeal this determination in accordance with OSU Standard 03-010. Section 5.17 no later than the closing date indicated on the website. Appeals must be submitted to Procurement, Contracts and Materials Management at procurement@oregonstate.edu by 2/5/2026 at 4:00 pm PST. For additional information please contact Cassandra Hurd by email at cassandra.hurd@oregonstate.edu or by telephone at (541) 737-3059.
