The City of Fitchburg, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for the Pier Renovation at Crocker Field Grandstands Project, Broad Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420, in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by Gale Associates, Inc., 6 Bedford Farms Drive, Suite 101 Bedford, NH 03110, dated July 22, 2026, for limited renovation to the existing Crocker Grandstand piers. Construction is anticipated to start in the summer of 2026; the estimated construction cost is $127,000.
General Contractor bids will be received until August 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM at
www.biddocs.com

The Work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: cleaning, cutting, removal of gunite, crack repairs, masonry repairs, and refinishing. The City has separately contracted for the relocation of the electrical service, which will be completed prior to the commencement of this work.
A bid deposit of at least five percent (5%) of the total project is required. A Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the sum of 50% of the Contract Price will be required of the successful Bidder. Project is subject to compliance with prevailing wage requirements.
This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, § 39M, and any resulting contract will be strictly awarded in accordance with the requirements of the solicitation. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids. The City reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or scope of work, and to negotiate contract terms with the successful bidder.
