2026 Road Reclamation & Enhancement Project

The Rural Municipality of Big River No. 555 is inviting tenders for the reclamation and enhancement of approximately 2 miles (3.22 km) of roadway. The work will include the stabilization and resurfacing of the roadway through a 4-inch depth blade mix process, incorporating a calcium chloride / magnesium hydroxide solution into the existing road surface, under the following Terms and Conditions:

• Supply, haul, and apply calcium chloride / magnesium hydroxide solution to approximately 2 miles (3.22 km) of roadway.
• Complete a 4-inch depth reclamation and mixing process of the road surface.
• RM will provide graders, water trucks, hauling units and gravel.
• Contractor will ensure proper mixing and compaction of the roadway.
• The RM anticipates a completion date of June 30, 2026, due to high traffic volumes on this roadway during the summer months, particularly serving lakeshore developments.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship throughout the project.
• Work closely with the Foreman to ensure all designated areas are completed.
