To Whom It May Concern:
The City of Alabaster is currently accepting bids for the demolition of a structure and cleaning and
stabilization of a lot.
Bids shall be sealed and delivered to the Office of the Purchasing Agent at City Hall, City of Alabaster,
Alabama, prior to the above specified date and time. Bids shall be publicly opened at the date and time
specified above or as soon as practicable thereafter.
To be considered by the City, a bid must comply with Alabama law, including, but not limited to, Ala.
Code (1975) §§41-16-50 et seq. and 31-13-1 et seq., and provide documentation of enrollment in the
E-Verify program pursuant to Ala. Code §31-13-9.
All bidders must use the bid form provided by the City for the project. The entirety of this Bid Packet
must be completed and submitted. Bids completed in pencil will not be accepted.
The Sealed Bid envelope must be clearly marked “SEALED BID” and indicate on the outside of the
envelope the name and address of the proposing party, the project for which the bid is submitted and
the date of bid opening, i.e. “Abatement of Structure(s) located at 2077 Butler Rd, P.I.N. 23 6 14 3 002
012.000, Bid Opening Date February 19th, 2026____________ .
The following MUST be included with the bid packet:
• Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance
• Proof of Liability Insurance
• IRS Form W-9
• Provide documentation of enrollment in the E-Verify program pursuant to Ala. Code §31-13-9
Failure to include all required information with the Bid Packet will result in the bid being rejected.

Specifications for conditions that must be met:
• Must have a City of Alabaster business license at the time of permitting.
• Must provide Performance Bond in the amount of the Bid, minimum, at the time of
permitting.
• Must procure a Land Disturbance permit ($100 Residential, $400 Commercial)
• Must procure a Demolition Permit (0.85% of the Bid amount).
• Bid must be received no later than 10:00am, February 19th, 2026 . The bid opening will be
at 10:00 a.m. at City of Alabaster Municipal Complex, 1953 Municipal Way (Conference
Room) on _February 19th_, 2026.
• All public utilities must be secured prior to commencing.
• All work must be performed per City Ordinance and/or Code.
• The lots must be graded suitable for mowing.
• Soil must be stabilized with grass seed and straw. Sloping areas must be stabilized with
grass seed and netted hay mat.
• Project must be completed within 45 days of Bid Acceptance notification.
• All structures on property to be removed including slabs.
