Vacuum Induction Melting Furnace

SRC invites qualified suppliers to submit proposals for the design, manufacture, delivery, installation, and commissioning of a turnkey Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) furnace system for rare earth metal production. Suppliers will demonstrate proven experience with calciothermic reduction of rare earth fluorides and calcium removal by distillation within VIM systems for the purpose of pure rare earth metal production.

The successful proponent will provide a fully integrated, turnkey VIM furnace system including, but not limited to:

• Engineering design, fabrication, factory acceptance testing (FAT), delivery, installation, commissioning, site acceptance testing (SAT), operator training, documentation, and warranty/support.
• All ancillary equipment required for safe, compliant, and continuous operation (e.g., vacuum/inert gas systems, power and controls, feed/charging mechanisms, crucibles, molds/demolding equipment, calcium handling/containment/neutralization, safety interlocks, instrumentation, and software/PLC/HMI).
