Description

The USAF has awarded a five-year requirements contract for the repair of the Advanced Control Tester (ACT) II.

The ACT is an Engine Download Device that is needed for the testing of the Digital Electronic Engine Control (DEEC), Version 6 of the Pratt and Whitney F100-220/220/229 engine, which is used on the F-15/F-16 weapon system. The ACT has previously been determined to be commercial as it is similar to systems sold to commercial customers.

This acquisition is for the repair of the ACT II. These services include teardown, evaluation, and uniquely negotiated repairs. USAF does not possess technical data to repair; Collins Aerospace owns the technical data and licenses the necessary data for repairs.
