Pursuant to Section 3-05 of the PPB Rules, the Department of Social Services (DSS) on behalf of the Mayor’s Office of Food Policy (MOFP), intends to enter into a Sole Source contract with Farm-Logix, LLC. to utilize the vendor’s patented computing systems to perform data munging services. The anticipated contract term is two years with an option to renew for an additional two years.
Farm-Logix, LLC. will perform data collection and analysis of City Agency food procurements and offer technical assistance to City Agencies, their subcontractors, and their other vendors to ensure complete data collection. Farm-Logix, LLC. will also support the creation of visualizations of data and other related data reporting, as needed. Farm-Logix LLC invented a computing and data collection system that applies networked computing technology and machine-readable indicia to support traceability of products from providers to clients. It has been patented since 2014, under Patent Number US 12,141,739 B2. DSS/MOFP has determined that, due to the patented technology, Farm-Logix is the sole provider for the required services. Any firm or organization that believes they can also provide this service is invited to respond to RFI “06925Y0334-DATA MUNGING SERVICES FOR MOFP-GFP” by e-mailing the Agency Contact Shafeqa Brothers at ACCOContractPlanning@dss.nyc.gov or by submitting a response through the PASSPort Discussion Forum for the subject EPIN.
