2026 Articulating Tractor

Scope: It is the intent of the City of Columbus, Division of Sewerage and Drainage to obtain formal bids to establish a contract for the purchase of one (1) Articulating Tractor with implements.

Specification Information:

The purpose of these specifications is to describe an Articulating Tractor in accordance with the enclosed terms, conditions and specifications. The tractor will be used for slope mowing and snow plowing activities. All parts not specifically mentioned, which are necessary to provide a complete unit, or normally furnished as standard equipment shall be furnished. The parts shall conform in strength, quality of material and workmanship to what is normally provided in the industry.

Mower:

Item #1 Bobcat AT450 or equivalent meeting the following specifications:

Tractor shall have gasoline powered engine

Engine shall have a minimum of 30 horsepower

Shall have a minimum turning radius of 39 inches and a maximum turning radius of 45 inches

Shall have oscillation range of minimum 7.5 inches and a maximum of 9 inches

Machines shall be able to operate on grades up to a maximum of 30 degrees (58% grade)

Shall have a minimum ground clearance of 4.5 inches

Shall have a fuel capacity of minimum 6 gallons and a maximum 9 gallons

Machine shall be all wheel drive

Machine shall be minimum wheelbase of 43 inches and a maximum wheelbase of 46 inches

Machine shall have all terrain type wheels

Machine shall have adapters and additional wheels to achieve double wheel set up for slope mowing

Machine shall be capable of accommodating a removable enclosed cab, to be purchased at a later date

Machine shall have hydraulic functionality to operate front and rear mounted implements

Shall have quick coupler attachment for interchangeable implements

Shall have all standard equipment options

Operator training for 8-12 City of Columbus personnel

Shall include operator's manual

Shall include parts and repair manual in print or digital copy

Item #2 Mower Attachment

Shall be AirFX mower attachment or equivalent

Mower shall front type attachment

Item #3 Plow Blade Attachment

Blade shall be a straight blade type

Blade shall have a reversible cutting edge

Delivery:

The successful bidder(s) assume the responsibility for the body-chassis coordination including, but not limited to, transportation and insurance for complete unit(s) while in transport and until final acceptance by the City of Columbus.

All equipment must be delivered with all fluid levels at the manufacturer's recommended full capacity. All manufacturer's pre-delivery service and inspections should be completed prior to delivery to the City of Columbus. Written certification of the complete vehicle's actual tare weight shall be included when the vehicle is delivered.

The City of Columbus shall be notified no less than 24 hours prior to actual delivery by notifying Daniel Fennell (or designee,) at the Division of Sewerage and Drainage (614) 645-6407, twenty-four (24) hours in advance. Delivery shall be F.O.B. destination prepaid and allowed to:

Warranty:

Warranty Period: The warranty period shall be a Minimum One Year Full Machine Warranty, at no additional charge. Bidders shall submit copies of the warranty with the bid proposal.
