SUMMARY OF REQUESTProject Description
The City of Harrisonville is seeking responses from experienced and qualified Consulting Engineers to provide engineering services to evaluate and design improvements for the Total Copper and Total Phosphorous Removal from the City’s Main Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). Incoming copper and phosphorous levels measured at the WWTP have not been consistent, and the WWTP experiences spiked levels of the contaminants. It is unknown where the spikes in copper and phosphorous levels are originating, but levels are high enough consistently that improvements to the WWTP are required to remove them. Consulting Engineer will prepare an Engineering Study Report to identify and establish treatment options to remove copper and phosphorous from the WWTP. Upon approval of the recommended treatment option, Consulting Engineer will complete the design and permit coordination and approval with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR). Consulting Engineer may also provide bidding and construction phase services for this project. The construction of the treatment options shall be in accordance with the City of Harrisonville standards as described in the Scope of Services.
