Synopsis:



This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 “Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions”

US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District intends to award a contract for the purchase of Inov8-GPS-TR-001 GPS 316 SS Transducers and INov8-GPS-LA-001 GPS Light Sources for delivery to the John Day Lock and Dam, Rufus, OR. Furthermore, the contractor shall provide a technician to travel onsite to the John Day Lock and Dam to perform repairs and maintenance for three (3) days with an option to continue work for one (1) additional day. The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is FAR 13.106- 1(b)(1)(i) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 and DFARS 206.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements.



A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED.

The Government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code is 811210 - Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The size standard as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is $34.0M.



THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quote to the contracting officer before the notice end date. If no affirmative written responses are received by 2:00 PM Pacific Time on 27 March 2025, an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is not responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
