Synopsis:
|
|
The purpose of this request is for the supply of multiple stationary stands for cable reels. The supplied cable stands shall be designed and manufactured to the following design:
-
Stationary stands for cable reels up to 48” diameter, 32” wide and a minimum of 5,000lbs (x4)
-
Stationary stands for cable reels up to 72” diameter, 44” wide and a minimum of 5,000lbs (x2)
-
Stationary stands for cable reels up to 96” diameter, 60” wide and a minimum of 10,000lbs (x3)
All reel stands shall include the following features:
-
Solid steel axle with bushings to accommodate 2” (or 2.5”), 3” and 4” arbor holes.

Structural steel construction.
-
Axel retaining brackets with locking mechanism.
-
Long life axle support bearings.
-
Lifting points to lift the fully loaded stand with forklift, crane and helicopter.
-
Tie down points for transporting on a trailer with a reel loaded.
-
Manually operated disc brake.
-
Weatherproof coating on all structural steel, preferred color - Pantone 158C Orange.
-
No tools should be required to replace reels.
Offloading and handling of the stationary stands at the SaskPower site is excluded from the scope of this RFQ.
