TESD Bid Package 2 – Interior/Exterior Renovations and Upgrades at BES, DES, HES, NEES, TEMS, & CHS (Project #24-003.02)

Project Description: Bid Package 2 – Interior/Exterior Renovations and Upgrades at Beaumont Elementary School (BES), Devon Elementary School (DES), Hillside Elementary School (HES), New Eagle Elementary School (NEES), Tredyffrin/Easttown Middle School (TEMS), and Conestoga High School (CHS) for the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District
The project consists of miscellaneous general construction, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing renovations and upgrades to Beaumont Elementary School (BES), Devon Elementary School (DES), Hillside Elementary School (HES), New Eagle Elementary School (NEES), Tredyffrin/Easttown Middle School (TEMS), and Conestoga High School (CHS). Work includes casework replacement and upgrades at DES and NEES; floor finish replacements and upgrades at DES, TEMS, and CHS; Kitchen renovation and upgrades at HES; Auditorium seating upgrades at TEMS; Theatrical lighting upgrades at TEMS; Fire alarm system replacement at TEMS; Auditorium audio system upgrades at CHS; Emergency lighting upgrades at HES; Canopy post repair at BES; and exterior sidewalk improvements at CHS.
Bids will be received electronically before 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at which time the bids will be opened on the PennBid website with results displayed publicly. The results will be also read aloud at the offices of the Purchasing Department, Tredyffrin/Easttown School District, Administration Offices, 940 W Valley Road, Suite 1700 Wayne, PA 19087.

Sets of Plans, Specifications, and other documents constituting the Contract Documents may be obtained at no cost on the PennBid website, www.PennBid.net. Plans and specifications will be available October 10, 2024.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty, in the amount above stipulated, in the form of a certified check, bank cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check or a bid bond, in the form prescribed in the Contract Documents, with satisfactory corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, naming as payee (or obligee as applicable) the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District.
Acceptance by the Owner of the successful bidder’s proposal shall be in the form of a contingent Notice of Award. Upon receipt of such Notice of Award, the successful bidder must furnish, 1) Contract Bonds in the forms prescribed in the Contract Documents; 2) evidence of required insurance as detailed in the Contract Documents: and 3) a signed and notarized Form of Agreement in the form provided in the Contract Documents, all prior to receiving a Notice to Proceed.
Proposals must be submitted electronically via the PennBid website.
Except as expressly provided for in these specifications, no proposals may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date specified for receiving, opening, and reading of proposals.
The time allowed for completion shall be as set forth in the Contract Documents. All Contracts will start immediately.
The Tredyffrin/Easttown School District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or parts thereof or items therein and to waive any defects or irregularities in proposals.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting (project walk-through) will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 9:30 A.M. at Tredyffrin/Easttown Middle School, auditorium, 801 Conestoga Road, Berwyn, PA 19312.
Contractors who do not attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting will not be permitted to submit bids.
