until 2:30 p.m., PDT, May 7, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened by the Department
of Aviation of the County of Humboldt at a public meeting located at the upstairs conference room
in the Airport Terminal Building at 3561 Boeing Avenue, McKinleyville, California for
performing work as follows:

The award of this project is contingent upon a grant offer from the Federal Aviation Administration
(FAA). Contract award, if awarded, will be based on the lowest responsible bid total price.
Bids are required for the entire work as described herein:
General Work Description:
Provide all labor, materials, methods, processes, implements, tools, machinery, equipment,
transportation, permits, services, utilities, and all other items necessary to complete the Work. The
Work consists of the installation of Runway 12/30 Vertical Guidance Systems at Murray Field
Airport.
Estimated Construction Cost: $500,000.00
Contract Time: 20 calendar days
Liquidated Damages: $2,250.00
Plans, Special Provisions and Proposal Forms may be viewed at the Humboldt County Department
of Aviation, 3561 Boeing Avenue, McKinleyville, California, 95519, at area plan centers and on

Printed copies of the contract documents may be obtained by prospective Bidders upon
ADVANCE payment of a non-refundable printing and service charge in the amount of $100.00.
All checks shall be made payable to COUNTY OF HUMBOLDT and should be mailed along with
the request for Plans to the Humboldt County Department of Aviation, 3561 Boeing Avenue,
McKinleyville, California, 95519.

Provisions that reference federal-aid contracts are applicable.
The successful Bidder shall furnish a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond.
The Contractor shall possess a CLASS "A” Contractors License at the time this contract is
awarded.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at Murray Field on April 27, 2026 at 3:00 p.m.,
PDT. All bidders are advised to examine the site to become familiar with all site conditions.
