Synopsis:
|
|
This Advanced Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is issued by the Town of Stoughton (“the Town”) to publish its intention to negotiate directly and enter into a contract with MPE a division of Englobe (MPE) for the provision of Engineering Services for completion of the Town of Stoughton – Raw Supply Main Replacement project.

The Town and project stakeholders have chosen not to call for proposals on this contract for the following reasons:
-
To ensure consistency and continuity of design for the proposed infrastructure.
-
To ensure consistency and continuity of coordination with project partners and stakeholders.
-
To eliminate duplication of services that would be required for another company to gain the knowledge and understanding required to meet the Town’s and project stakeholder requirements.
-
To ensure the project continues forward in a manner consistent with value for money principles.
MPE a division of Englobe has been selected for the proposed project for the following reasons:
-
MPE has a detailed knowledge and understanding of the current water treatment system and supply system as well as of the proposed project.
-
MPE can provide all services required to complete the project in-house and has extensive experience working with the Town of Stoughton and more recently with the RM of Tecumseh.
-
The MPE team has completed the preliminary design, detailed design and construction procurement for this wellfield expansion, pipelines, and bulk fill station.
-
MPE is actively engaged with regulatory agencies regarding the requirements of this project.
-
MPE Engineering Ltd. has completed the design and construction administration of a significant amount of similar water supply system projects.
